This collection documents administrative and operational activities of the South Trail Fire Department in Sarasota from its origins in the early 1950s through the mid-20th century. Preserved and donated by the family of former Fire Chief Edgar K. Jaffe, primary record types include organizational documents such as charter and by-laws, administrative correspondence, newspaper clippings, and photographic materials relating to the work of the South Trail Volunteer Fire Department.
