Mira Mar Hotel and Apartments Petition
This collection consists of a petition circulated by the Palm Avenue Merchant group in Sarasota in June 1978 to have the Mira Mar Hotel and Apartments added to the National Register of Historic Places. The petition consists of 64 pages of signatures and addresses of the signers. Jay Starker, a past president of the Palm Avenue Merchants, was a prominent leader in the effort.

The bulk of this collection consists of year books and other publications of the Sara de Soto Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. There are also newspaper clippings, presumably relating to the DAR in Sarasota County, dating from the 1940s to the early 1980s.
