Scope and Contents
This collection contains photographs either taken or collected by Captain Cummins in his appraising and real estate work in Sarasota, FL. The photographs depict various highway intersections, neighborhoods, farms, roadways and municipal projects across Sarasota County and its surrounding areas. Photographs were taken from the ground and from bird’s eye view. These photographs cover various areas such as Bradenton, FL in Manatee County, Sarasota County, Charlotte County and St. Petersburg, FL. The collection is organized according to the index provided by Captain Cummins upon time of donation. There is no discernible method to the index being organized either chronologically or alphabetically.

This collection is stored offsite in a remote storage facility. Materials from the collection can be brought to the Sarasota County History Center for viewing upon request.
