Wilfrid T. Robarts Sarasota County Golf Papers
Scope and Contents
Records include minutes and subscriber lists from the original Sarasota Golf Club, as well as records associated with the formation of the Gillespie Golf Pioneer Club in the 1960s and the effort by this group to reconstruct where the original course had been located. There is also correspondence relating to a luncheon celebrating the career of A.B. Edwards. There is also a large display board with the signatures of the Gillespie Golf Pioneers and a plat of the original nine-hole course in color.
