Scope and Contents
Personal and professional records of Colonel William R. Royal, an archaeologist best known for recovering human remains and other artifacts from Warm Mineral Springs in Sarasota County. The records cover aspects of Royal's military career as a SCUBA diver in the United States Air Force, as well as his study of archaeology and participation in projects in Sarasota County and elsewhere. The collection also includes film and print photographs relating to this work.
