Photograph, Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake Killed in Venice, Florida, 1979
Scope and Contents
Photo caption: This Eastern diamondback rattlesnake, 5 1/2 feet long - above average length - had 13 rattles. Some were broken off, so it was probably over 15 years old. It was killed March 1979 by a car on the road leading into Sandlewood Mobile Home Park in Venice, Fl. When William Vickers picked it up the muscles in its tail were still moving.
